OGRE Handcar During early 2014 I contracted with Oakland Global Rail Enterprise to build a handcar for publicity purposes. While the gears, wheels, and roller bearings were off the shelf, everything else I built from scratch. The car includes both cast iron, machined, water jet cut, and welded parts. The wood frame is fabricated from seasoned white ash. The joints are all precision mortise and tenon joints that are fit perfectly together.
