Note that Sheffield hand cars were built from Ash. 1904 advetisement indicating hand cars built from Rock Elm. Circa 1900 Fairbanks Morse catalog in 1900. Sheffield was owned by Fairbanks Morse. This hand car was used as a sales tool. It appears that it is painted either yellow or white as judging by the lettering which is a dark contrasting color. It is also interesting to note that everything was painted including the handle, wheels, and braking system. Sheffield logo circa 1910.
